PHNOM PENH, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- A Cambodian-American woman tested positive for COVID-19 after arriving in Cambodia from the United States, the Cambodian Ministry of Health (MoH) said on Saturday.
The 62-year-old woman landed in capital Phnom Penh on Thursday from the United States via a connecting flight in South Korea, MoH secretary of state and spokeswoman Or Vandine said in a statement.
"The result of her samples' test showed (on Friday) that the woman was positive for the COVID-19, and she is currently undergoing treatment at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital," she said.
The remaining 73 passengers on board the same flight have been placed under a 14-day mandatory quarantine at various quarantine centers in the capital, she added.
The Southeast Asian country has so far recorded a total of 308 confirmed COVID-19 cases, Vandine said, adding that none have died and 299 patients recovered from the coronavirus epidemic.
