HANOI, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam recorded one new confirmed case of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing its total tally to 1,521 with 35 deaths, according to its Ministry of Health.
The new case is a 27-year-old Vietnamese woman who recently entered the country from abroad and was quarantined upon arrival.
The health ministry also reported that eight more patients have been given the all-clear, raising the total number of recoveries from COVID-19 to 1,369.
Meanwhile, nearly 17,600 people are being quarantined and monitored, the ministry said.
