HANOI, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's coffee exports reached a record high of 5.5 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2025, surpassing the full-year target of 5.4 billion dollars, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said on Wednesday.
The sharp rise in export value was driven by strong demand from major markets including the United States, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, and China.
The ministry attributed the record performance to a shift toward high-value coffee products, such as deeply processed coffee, specialty coffee, and instant coffee.
Vietnam's coffee export revenue is projected to reach 7.5 billion dollars by the end of this year, up around 37 percent from 2024, marking the highest annual growth on record for the country's coffee industry, according to the ministry.
