HANOI, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached an estimated 3.18 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 126.47 billion U.S. dollars) in the first five months of the year, up 11.2 percent year on year, local daily VnEconomy reported Thursday, citing the National Statistics Office.
Retail sales of goods accounted for 75.9 percent of the total at nearly 2.42 quadrillion Vietnamese dong, rising 11.1 percent from a year earlier, led by strong growth in petroleum products, apparel, food and household appliances, according to the office.
Accommodation and catering services generated 400.4 trillion Vietnamese dong, and other services 325.9 trillion Vietnamese dong, rising 13.3 percent and 9.1 percent year on year, respectively, the report added.
